Dance/jazz premiere opens June 2
Danceworks Northwest and Anacru-
sis, a modern tap dance duo join with jazz musicians Julian Priester, Jerry
Grineeli and Jay Clayton in a dance/jazz
premiere. The concerts run for three nights, June 2-4, 8 p.m. at Broadway Performance Hall.
Danceworks Northwest is now in its eighth year and has gained renown respect in the Northwest for its repertoire of choreography by nationallyacclaimed choreographers and its skilled and disciplined dancers.
Cheryl Johnson and Anthony Peters formed Anacrusis three years ago in response to their vision of tap dance which integrates magnetic visual and movements aspects the traditional percussive footwork.
The concert features a series of free pre-performance lectures beginning at 7 p.m., June 2-4. Reservations are required. Performances begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10.50 general and $7.50 students/seniors. O
Summersaults at UW
Dances choreographed to a Bach fugue, jungle drums, modern jazz, the rhythmic chants, and the Shaker sect are highlighted in Summersaults, a program of student and faculty works presented by the Division of Dance at 8 p.m., Thursday, June 2 through Saturday, June 4 in the Studio Theatre of Meany Hall. There will be a reception in the theatre lobby following Thursday's performance.
Tickets are $4 general, $3 students/seniors and are available from the UW Arts Ticket Office, 4001 University Way NE (206) 543-4880.
Seattle Children's Theatre seeks running

Seattle Children's Theatre (SCT) is accepting applications for the following positions: stagehand, dresser, sound technician and master electrician.
Positions are available for SCT's 1988/89 season which operates from September through June. Full season employment is available. SCT offers a weekly salary plus medical benefits.

Auditions for Seattle Children's Theatre
Seattle Children's Theatre (SCT) will hold auditions for the 1988-89 Season in July. Auditions are for male and female actors. Both Equity and non-Equity members are invited to audition. Call 443-0807 for an appointment.
Actors should prepare one monologue and, if desired, one short song. An accompanist will be provided. Actors must provide sheet music, no a cappella singing will be allowed.
Apparel Design exhibit at SCCC
Clothing lines designed by graduating Apparel Design Students at Seattle Central Community College will be on display from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday June 2.
Shapes will feature men's and women's sportswear, athletic wear, carreer clothing, resort wear, and clothing for the larger woman.
Many of the graduating students are already working because of the growth of the clothing design business in Seattle and the Puget Sound area.
The fashion design exhibit is open to the public and will be held in Room 1110 at the college. O
Summer session to begin June 13
Madrona Dance Studio summer session will begin on June 13 and run through August 6. Dance classes for adults and children of all levels of dance experience are welcome.
